Samsung's Galaxy S26 series design leak: A closer look at the upcoming flagship phones
The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S26 series is just a few months away, and the leaks are starting to heat up. A recent discovery by Android Authority has revealed that Samsung may have accidentally leaked the designs of the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra through 2D renders found in the One UI 8.5 source code.
These 2D illustrations, while not as detailed as 3D CAD renders, provide valuable insights into the upcoming devices. The designs match earlier leaks, confirming the rounded edges and new camera layout that we've been hearing about. The Galaxy S26 Ultra, in particular, is expected to feature a new 3x telephoto sensor and improved overall hardware.
The One UI code essentially confirms the S26 design, with the S26 Ultra having more rounded corners compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The camera setup is also consistent with previous leaks, with two sensors sitting outside the vertical camera bar.
In addition to the design details, the Galaxy S26 series is expected to come with improved charging capabilities. Samsung is reportedly shipping the Galaxy S26 Ultra with a new 3x telephoto sensor, while the entire series will support faster charging speeds, both wired (up to 60W) and wireless (up to 25W).
As we get closer to the launch, more information about the Galaxy S26 lineup is expected to surface. However, the design now seems all but confirmed, leaving us eagerly awaiting the official reveal.
