San Francisco's Pier 80 is set to become an electronic dance music (EDM) hotspot for the new year, with the legendary Swedish House Mafia taking center stage. The Swedish House Mafia, a European supergroup comprising Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso, will perform two electrifying concerts on Monday and Wednesday, December 29th and 31st. This highly anticipated event marks a significant return for the group, which has been credited as a key catalyst for the rise of EDM in the early 2010s. Despite disbanding in 2012 to pursue solo endeavors, the trio reunited at the Ultra Music Festival in 2018 and later released the record 'Paradise Again' in 2021. Their upcoming shows are part of a diverse lineup of EDM events in the region around New Year's Eve. Other notable performances include a DJ set by drag artist and TV personality RuPaul at Midway on December 27th, and a collaboration between San Francisco-native Skrillex and Four Tet at Pier 80 on December 30th, between the Swedish House Mafia shows.
